Developed machine learning models tailored for small datasets to evaluate key biological safety endpoints and deployed them company-wide. Integrated predictive models into routine testing cascades, co-defining the strategy for pairing ML predictions with wet-lab assays to optimize screening operations. Additionally, created and launched an automated report generation tool to reduce manual data handling, while serving as a People Enabler to coach colleagues, foster skill development, and supervise data science interns on end-to-end projects.
University of Bern · Prof. Jean-Louis Reymond · Bern
Applied cheminformatics and data science to guide candidate selection across multiple modalities, including peptides, small molecules, natural products, and organometallic complexes. Collaborated with wet-lab teams to define chemical design spaces, screen ultra-large combinatorial libraries, and select promising compounds for experimental testing. Developed computational tools to support this pipeline, including custom molecular fingerprints, genetic algorithms for virtual library screening, and models predicting molecular properties from chemical structure. Additionally, evaluated large language models (LLMs) to benchmark their performance in chemical research tasks.

Combined wet-lab organic synthesis with AI-driven generative models to design, generate, and synthesize novel small-molecule FFA2 receptor antagonists. Developed a virtual ranking workflow to prioritize generated candidates for synthesis and biological activity testing.
ETH Zürich · Prof. Donald Hilvert · Zürich
Applied directed mutagenesis and phenotypic selection to engineer a computationally designed heme protein, optimizing its activity for sustainable biocatalytic reactions in aqueous environments.
ETH Zürich · Prof. Gisbert Schneider · Zürich
Screened and ranked a virtual compound library to identify potential inhibitors of the bacterial HtrA protein, followed by the organic synthesis of top-ranked candidates for experimental evaluation.
